In line with its commitment to the development of skilled technical manpower relevant to the automotive industry, Innoson  Kiara Academy, a vital part of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing company, has graduated no fewer than 166 trainees at its Nnewi campus.

 The trainees graduated after a one-year programme in various aspects of auto engineering, such as; Auto Mechanic, Auto Electrical and Electronics, Auto Fabrication and Welding, and Auto Spray Painting. 

 Innoson Kiara Academy is an IVM Project in collaboration with German Technical Company, BOSCH and German Government through developp.de. The project is geared towards taking off young men and women off the street and helping to reduce unemployment rate in the country.

 The Innoson Kiara Academy which was launched in 2015, but officially set its machineries in motion in 2016, has trained about 4,000 young men and women from various states in Nigeria in different automobile disciplines.

 The mind-blowing project doesn’t stop at imparting technological knowledge both practical and theoretica,l on the students, but also serves as a linkage between the trainees and their employers. They equally assess start-up capital and business service for the entrepreneurs.

 In his remarks at the ceremony, the traditional ruler of Nnewi, Igwe Kenneth Orizu III, thanked God for the project and lauded the Innoson Chairman, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, for establishing the academy where many Nigerians are trained in automobile handling.

Igwe Orizu stated that the rare idea is not just a huge blessing to Chief Chukwuma, and Ndi Igbo, but also to Nigeria at large.

 The longest serving monarch in Nigeria prayed God to bestow more wisdom on the IVM boss Chief (Dr.) Innocent Chukwuma, as he continues to stamp out  poverty from the society and making many Nigerian youths self-reliant.

 Welcoming the guests, the Chief Executive Officer, Innoson Kiara Academy, Mr. Endi  Ezengwa ,passionately commended the graduands for the efforts they put in while the pprogramme lasted

 Mr. Ezengwa, charged them to always be committed, good ambassadors and toe the right path which no doubt will make them to excel like or more than their benefactor, Chief (Dr.) Innocent Chukwuma OFR.

 Contributing, the BOSCH Representative, Lady Chizoba Adigwe who was delighted at the zeal and performance of the trainees, applauded them for deeming it consequential and wise to curve an niche for themselves through the programme.

 Lady Adigwe, however, called on the graduands to go out and inculcate the technological knowledge they have acquired to others in order to have a better society.

 Speaking on behalf of Nigerian Automobile Technicians Association (NATA), the Vice President South-East zone, Chief Francis Akajimba, commended the graduands for taken a bold step to enroll themselves in the programme that will empower them to live a better and at the same time be beneficial to the society at large.

 He lauded the Innoson Chairman for initiating train the training programme which has the capability of lifting people above poverty level. \

He assured the newly graduated trainees of their (NATA) readiness to partner with them.

 In their separates goodwill messages, Mr. Sam Hart, Abia State Representative, Dr Tavershima Abraham, Benue State SLI Representative, Dr. Nelson Omenugha Representative of Anambra State Government and SA to Governor, Anambra State on Youth Development Programme, National Registrar NABTEB Prof Ifeoma Mercy Isiugo-Abaniher epresented by the Anambra State NABTEB Coordinator. Mrs. Joy Ogbuaholu, they unanimously thanked the Management of Innoson Kiara Academy and IVM boss Chief (Dr.) Innocent Chukwuma for their collective quest to empower Nigerian youths with functional and survival skills for poverty reduction and social inclusion.

 In the same vein, they congratulated the graduating trainees for completing their programme and they were of optimistic that the skills they have acquired, will be useful to themselves and society at large if they put it into practice.
