Dreamworks Integrated Systems Limited, an innovative technology provider, has introduced device financing to make ICT gadgets more accessible to Nigerians amid economic challenges. The company unveiled the initiative during its 20th-anniversary celebration, highlighting its commitment to bridging the digital divide.

Device financing allows customers to purchase smartphones, laptops, tablets, and wearables in instalments, making them more affordable. Dreamworks believes this will empower individuals, improve access to education and healthcare, and contribute to economic growth.

“The affordability of ICT gadgets remains a challenge in Nigeria due to the high exchange rate and reliance on imports,” said Chinyere Aylor, Group Head of Brand and Marketing at Dreamworks. “Device financing is pivotal in ensuring that everyone who needs an ICT gadget can afford one.”

Dreamworks has also invested in alternative energy solutions like inverters and solar panels to reduce reliance on the national grid. Additionally, the company supports Nigerian brands and encourages local manufacturing to reduce forex dependence.

“We are focusing on locally made technologies to reduce the high cost of forex,” Aylor explained. “When you buy in Naira, you help grow the economy.”

Dreamworks aims to expand its reach through partnerships and collaborations. The company believes that working together with communities, OEMs, and other stakeholders can create a more inclusive and prosperous technology landscape in Nigeria.

“In the next 20 years, we want to find ways to collaborate with our communities where we operate, by bringing in more partners who share the vision of enriching everyone,” Aylor said.
