The hope of thousands of Nigeria’s aspiring young entrepreneurs to get the needed support has received a big boost with the unveiling of The Entrepreneur business reality TV show in Lagos recently.

Prided by its promoters as the biggest and most innovative business reality TV show in Africa, the programme is aimed at developing the capacity and competence of the Nigerian youths on entrepreneurial leadership skills, to enable them participate meaningfully in growing the nation’s economy.

Speaking at the event, Soji Moses, CEO of Erudite Entrepreneur, organisers of The Entrepreneurs, said: “The programme is coming from a deep sense of concern and a deep sense of responsibility towards nation building and towards making sure that we have capacity and competence to develop Nigerian youths, to enable them imbibe entrepreneurial leadership skills to grow the nation’s economy”.

He further stated that with the unveiling of the project, the official online portal for registration was now open for aspiring participants to visit and register at www. theentrepreneur.ng.

Moses maintained that the project would focus on teaching young people essential ways of becoming successful entrepreneurs such as accountability, competence, capacity and other attributes, adding: “if you are accountable to a business of your own, that will make you not to allow the business to fail. Therefore, The Entrepreneur will aim at bringing that angle, and will teach the participants, and also viewers at home all the nitty-gritty about running successful businesses.”  

He described the project as a business school on TV, even as he assured of his commitment to raise successful young entrepreneurs who would make their marks in the nation’s economy in the nearest future.

While giving an insight on the readiness of his organisation to carry out a successful event, Moses disclosed that his organisation has assembled a team comprising of well known successful entrepreneurs and professionals in the country, promising that participants would learn from experts who were committed to teach all the strategies for running successful businesses that would translate to the growth of the nation’s economy.

He revealed that expectations from the reality show would harness intellectual property, expand peoples’ mind and teach the participants on how to run businesses properly, noting that most SMEs were not getting attractions and anticipated growth due to mismanagement and lack of capacity.

The programme would be streamed live 24-hours daily on KP online TV and other stations to harness huge traffic.
