Fast rising Nigerian singer, Marc-Austine Afam better known as Dmac YSD is ready to thrill his fans with his latest music project, The UNFVCKWITHABLE EP.
The Anambra state Indegene in an encounter with Saturday Sun stated that the EP is special because, “It shares my life experience, imagination, and opinions about several other things. It’s a 5 track Extended Play compilation titled The UNFVCKWITHABLE EP. Trust me, it goes way beyond the title. All the tracks on the EP are my favourite. I don’t think I prefer one to another. They were all created with different tempos. I have Amapiano sounds, Afropop, all in that project, so each song has a different feel and message to it,” he gushed.
As an independent artist, Dmac YSD lamented on how tough it is for him to achieve as much as he would love to in the fiercely competitive Nigerian music industry.
He said: “The industry is already a tough one and now it is much tougher because of the economic downturn in Nigeria, independent artists would have to do double the work to get recognition, unlike our counterparts in existing labels. I’ve learned to take life easy, one day at a time, stay true to a cause, and achieve each goal one by one. When your cause, brand, and team are aligned, it creates a powerful framework for success. My lifestyle is quite simple, I mind my business a lot, and spend more off-work time in the studio. I only relate with a few friends, especially in the music industry.”
