National Coordinator, All Progressives Grand Alliance Media Warriors Forum, Evang. Chinedu Obigwe yesterday stated that the Senator representing Anambra South in the National Assembly, Ifeanyi Ubah does not possess the qualities to champion the de-marginalisation of the southeast in the Nigerian polity.

Obigwe spoke in Awka while reacting to the reported accolades poured on Senator Ubah by the national leadership of APC last weekend during a colloquium and empowerment programme hosted by the Senator.

He stated that the gathering was a ploy to market Ubah’s governorship ambition in Anambra 2025 which he described as “dead on arrival”

Obigwe said the issue of Southeast marginalisation has nothing to do with the pursuit of Ubah’s personal political interest even as he declared that the politicians that gathered in Nnewi on the invitation of Ubah will be taught a bitter political lesson by Anambra electorates in 2025.

He said that it was good enough that President Tinubu distanced himself from the Nnewi colloquium noting that Mr President stayed away from the event because he cannot sacrifice Governor Soludo that is very useful to his administration.

“Not only President Tinubu but also major Igbo leaders did not attend and for some others that attended the event, none of them has the interest of Igbo’s at heart. Anambra electorates cannot be hoodwinked with the distribution of Greek gifts. The good work Governor Soludo is doing in Anambra is what the people of the State want and they cannot be lured into making a regrettable mistake in 2025 with Greek gifts”.

“It is insulting for anybody to say that Ubah is championing de -marginalisation of Southeast zone when in the actual sense of it, he is pursuing the actualisation of his dead on arrival personal political interest. Anambra electorates are saying God forbid bad thing to his ambition and they will definitely disgrace him in 2025.” Obigwe stated
