An 81-year-old man, Shefiu Salia and two others have been arraigned before the Chief Magistrate Court, Ado, Eti Osa Local Government of Lagos State, for allegedly attacking and attempting to kill Waheed Alade, Abdul Akeem, Olanbiwonu Shadiya and Adenupebi Olaomo.
The octogenarian was arraigned alongside, Adesanya Musediku and Musibau Fowosere on a six-count charge of forcefully entering Itamarun community land in Ibeju Lekki and inflicted injuries on the people.
Police prosecutor said the defendants on February 26, 2024, forcibly entered the community and shot the victims.
He argued that the offence is punishable under Section 230 (1) (2) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. The defendants pleaded not guilty and were granted bail accordingly.
Some of the counts read: “That you Adesanya Musediku ‘M’ Shefiu Salia ‘M’ Musibau Fowosere ‘M’ and others at large on 26th of February 2024 at about 16.00hr at Itamarun Community, Ibeju Lekki area of Lagos state within the Lagos State Magisterial district did conspire together commit felony to wit, forcible entry grievous harm unlawful displays of fire arms in the public, attempted murder and wilful damage and thereby committed an offence punishable ender ution 411 of the criminal Law of Lagos state of Nigeria 2015.

“That you Adesanya Musediku ‘M’ Shefiu Salia Sales ‘M’ Musibau Fowosere ‘M’ and others at large on the same date time and place in the aforementioned magisterial district did unlawfully shot at one Waheed Alade M’ one Abdul Akeem ‘M one Olanbiwonu Shadiya ‘F’ and one Adenupebi Olaomo ‘F’ and caused them grievous harm and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 245 of the criminal Law of Lagos state of Nigeria 2015.
“That you Adesanya Musediku ‘M* Shefiu Saha ‘M’ Musibau Fowosere ‘M’ and others at large on the same date time and place in the aforementioned magisterial district in a manner likely to cause breach of the peace did forcefully enters Itamarun Community land and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 52 of the
criminal Laws of Lagos state of Nigeria 2015.
“That you Adesanya Musediku ‘M* Shefiu Saha ‘M’ Musibau Fowosere ‘M’ and others at large on the same date time and place in the aforementioned magisterial district did unlawfully display firearms in the public without lawful authority and caused terror to People of Itamarun Community and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 51 of the criminal Law of Lagos state of Nigeria 2015.
“That you Adesanya Musediku ‘M* Shefiu Saha ‘M’ Musibau Fowosere ‘M’ and others at large on the same date time and place in the aforementioned magisterial district did wilfully damage the four tyres of two Land Rovers and the wind screen total valued N480,000, properties of one Chief Nojimu Sulaimon ‘M’ and thereby committed an offence punishable
under section 350 of the criminal Law of Lagos state of Nigeria 2015.
