A security expert, Chief Owolabi Ajayi, has congratulated Governor Dapo Abiodun and the All Progressives Congress (APC) on their victory at the Ogun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal. Owolabi, chairman of the Mainforce International Investment Limited, lauded the tribunal for a job well done, adding that the judgment addressed all the issues raised in accordance with the electoral law and the constitution. He said it was a true reflection of the mandate of the people, confirming the confidence the people have in the ruling APC by re-electing Abiodun for a second term.
“The judgement has put paid to all the insinuations and doubts about the resounding victory of the governor. I, therefore, call on all the lovers of democracy, especially the people of Ogun State, to come together for a continuation of good governance and the developmental process of Ogun, started by Abiodun from his first term in office.
“He has brought a new meaning of development to the state by fostering profound changes and transformational developments that are pragmatic. “Governor Abiodun is deliberately promoting stability and democracy by restoring political trust, encouraging political participation in new ways, building new mechanisms of effective people oriented governance, and enhancing collaboration with the people. “The judgment is a valuable, well deserved and rewarding development in the politics of Ogun State. Judicial decisions as regards political competition will always produce competing interests that are usually resolved through consensus and compromise. “This judgment will further unite the people. I plead with his opponents to join forces with the governor for the promotion of peace and stability in our state.”
