• As Osinbajo, others hold thanksgiving service

President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to transmit a letter to the National Assembly, today, to, formally, notify the lawmakers of his return from medical vacation in United Kingdom and his readiness to resume official duties.
Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina confirmed this through his twitter handle@FemiAdeshina on Friday.
“PMB will Monday transmit letter to N’ Assembly on his return to the country. That makes his return to work formal and constitutional,” he twitted.
Adesina, however, said Buhari will, in the next coming weeks, travel back to London for a medical review of his health condition.
The president’s spokesman, who spoke on Channels TV yesterday, said his boss, personally revealed that he would return to the UK for review when he interacted with members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), some states executives and security chiefs upon his return at the weekend.
Buhari who admitted he was very sick to the extent of taking blood transfusion, however, said he rested as much as humanly possible and received the best of medical treatment.
“All I will need is to do further follow ups within some weeks,” the president said.
Adesina also reiterated that governance was going on seamlessly while Buhari was away.
On possible cabinet reshuffle, he said the vacant positions in Kogi as a result James Ocholi’s death, and Kano, as a result of Amina Mohammed’s appointment, as Deputy Secretary of United Nations, will be filled.
Ocholi, former Minister of State for Labour and Productivity, died on March 6, 2016, in an auto-crash on the Abuja-Kaduna Highway.
Meanwhile, vice president, Osinbajo, his wife, Dolapo, clerics and some members of the FEC held thanksgiving service for President Buhari’s safe return at the weekend. The service was held at Aso Villa Chapel in the State House, Abuja.
