Upon returning from a transformative academic journey in the United Kingdom as a Chevening scholar, Jonathan Ayodele took centre stage at a welcome back event hosted by the British Deputy High Commissioner, Jonny Baxter in Lagos.
At the event, he passionately articulated his vision for empowering the Ikorodu community through technological advancement and innovation.
Chevening is the UK Government’s international awards program aimed at developing global leaders. The program offers scholarships to outstanding scholars with leadership potential from around the world, enabling them to pursue postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom.

In a stirring address, Jonathan Ayodele highlighted the pressing need for enhancement and ingenuity within the tech sector of Ikorodu, a vibrant community in Lagos.

Recognizing the potential for growth and development, he unveiled his ambitious plan to establish a cutting-edge tech hub in the heart of Ikorodu.

“I envision a future where Ikorodu stands at the forefront of technological innovation, showcasing its capabilities to the world,” Ayodele expressed during the event.
He continued by saying that through the establishment of a tech hub, his aim is to not only elevate the community’s profile but also to nurture local talent, improving livelihoods and igniting the spirit of innovation among the next generation of tech leaders.

According to hi, the proposed tech hub seeks to serve as a catalyst for economic empowerment, offering a platform for skills development, entrepreneurship, and global connectivity. By bridging the gap between local talent and global opportunities, he envisions a brighter, more inclusive future for Ikorodu, one where innovation thrives and communities flourish.

With a firm commitment to sustainable growth and social impact, he aims to collaborate with local stakeholders, businesses, and educational institutions to realize this transformative vision for Ikorodu.
