Top Nigerian celebrities and dignitaries came out in numbers to support International filmmaker, HRM, Queen Florence Okonkwo at the burial of her beloved mother,  Dame Margaret Adaoyibo Okonkwo (nee Dokai).

Okonkwo, popularly known as Queen of Red Carpet flew in from her London base to make sure every arrangement to bury her mother in a carnival-like ceremony was put in place before her arrival.

The burial of the late Dame Okonkwo commenced in Lagos with a Christian wake to keep at Holy Family Catholic Church, Festac on 11, April and the Requiem mass on 12, April.
The burial proper which took place on the 19th of April at Ogwashi -Uku, Delta state witnessed a roll call of dignitaries and celebrities from all walks of life.

They include the Parish Priest and entire members of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church; the Parish Priest and members of Holy Family Catholic Church Festac, Lagos; members of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) led by the President, Chief Emeka Rollas (MON); President of Ohanaeze Women Worldwide, Hon. It was also gathered that retired Cardinal Olubunmi Okojie sent his regards.

In her tribute, Queen Florence Okonkwo described her mother as a blessing to her children, family members and all those who came her way. “She has indeed left a big vacuum in the life of her way.”
