It was a time of joy and happiness in Odan, Agbara, Ado Odo-Ota Local Government, Ogun State, as Baale of Odan, Chief Waheed Fashina, on December 26, 2023, feted children to a Christmas party.

Children cladded in branded clothes thronged the First Baptist Church Hall, venue of the event. The Baale explained: “It gives me joy to put smiles on faces of children. When I was small, I never had this type of opportunity. Things were very tough.
“So, I vowed that if I could become successful in life, I would make children happy. To God be the glory for the past six years, I have been hosting children and giving them sense of belonging.” He said scholarship was also awarded to indigent students in the community.
Coordinator of the event, Pastor Akintunde Akintayo, said: “It is a thing of joy for me to render service that brink smiles to the faces of thousands of children. Through this event, many children have had opportunities to unwind and catch fun in a carnival like environment.”
He looked forward to the state government partnering the Baale ruler in the future event.
A parent, Madam Asake, thanked Fashina for the initiative and prayed for God’s blessings on the Baale.
