Any book on leadership excites me because leadership is everything, leadership is everyone’s business, everyone’s dream.  Leadership books and quotes come in different forms.  One that easily comes to my mind is that of the legendary Steve Jobs describing leadership in the following words: “My job is not to be easy on people.  My job is to take great people and push them to make them even better.”

This morning, I am happy to bring you a book on leadership written by my friend and mentee Amos Olusegun Ologunleko, a first-class engineer, an accomplished leader, a First Class honours graduate with three Master’s degrees, a certified management expert and the pioneering Plant Integrity Assurance Manager at Nigeria LNG Limited, where he has achieved outstanding results which helped him in writing this book: “LEADERSHIP G.O.T. B.O.R.N. –A Practical Toolkit for Aspiring Leaders and Mentors.”  A book he was inspired to write after reading my own book, “50 NIGERIA’S BOARDROOM LEADERS—Lessons On Corporate Governance and Strategy.”

He went further to honour me by asking me to write the foreword to his book. In the foreword, I wrote: “It has been a totally enlightening experience reading this book’s remarkable insights on leadership…I can relate to these powerful insights and sincerely attest that all we achieve on our individual and corporate journeys begin and end with effective leadership.”

I am not the only one wowed by this book on leadership approached from a Nigerian experience and perspective yet with a global outlook and relevance.  Here are other heavyweight reviews from the gurus:

Fela Durotoye, Executive Coach, Leadership Expert, and member of Forbes Coaching Council writes: “The age-old question. ‘Are leaders born or made?’ has just been answered in a most remarkable way with a unique perspective and insight of Amos Ologunleko.”

I urge you to take advantage of its form and wisdom.”
