• Calls for support for Ambode, Tinubu

Senator representing Lagos West in the Eighth Senate, Solomon Adeola, has apologised to his senatorial district and Nigerians, on the hardship they went through during the Yuletide, due to fuel scarcity.

Speaking with newsmen at his annual end-of-year party for his constituents and other well wishers at his Egbeda, Alimosho Local Government Area, on Wednesday, the senator said the fuel scarcity was regrettable.

“I share in the pains we all went through as a result of the fuel scarcity during Christmas, with untold hardship and unforeseen expenses for families across the country. But, I am glad that the situation is gradually returning to normal,” he said.

He, however, expressed happiness at the massive turnout at the party, which has now become a tradition with his constituents, and added that not even the fuel scarcity could dampen his gratefulness to God and his constituents for seeing them to the end of another year.

Adeola also commended Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for delivery of democracy dividends, with numerous development projects in Lagos West and across the state. He noted that, as the largest senatorial district in Nigeria, with the highest number of voters in the state, the district needs more infrastructure development for its teeming population of over 12 million citizens.

The senator called on his constituents to continue to support the governor and ensure they double the votes they gave him in the last election in the next election, and that they should also be loyal to the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and the party.
