The Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA), in Osun State, on Thursday disclosed that 176 micro projects have been completed during the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

The agency noted that 64 lock-up shops at Atakumosa market have been completed while 92 projects are ongoing.

The General Manager, Funmi Abokede, who spoke with journalists at a news point in Osogbo, lamented that it is overwhelmed by people’s demand despite the myriad of completed projects and hundreds of ongoing projects.

She explained that the projects were executed between November 2022 to 2024 with a focus on water, sanitation, health, and education.

“The vulnerable people are not left out. However the most vulnerable among them are those with spinal cord problems. That is why the focus is more on them. The blind among them also get support to improve their esteem and prevent them from begging.

“We are overwhelmed. People are coming with their needs. The governor has done enough but we still have demands. Inflation has also affected us.

“Some of the areas that benefited from the water projects are those in remote areas where people lack good water. Our education intervention cut across the three senatorial districts.

“176 micro projects already completed plus 64 lock-up shops at Atakumosa market. We have 92 ongoing projects,” Abokede said.

She commended Governor Ademola Adeleke for the intervention to ensure the success of the project, noting that the main focus of the agency is now on COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (CARES) with the provision of water, sanitation, health, and education.
