Tired of persistent hair fall, a 27-year-old software engineer in Bengaluru hanged himself to death, last Sunday.

R Mithun Raj of Jaihindpuram, Madurai, had started his career in Infosys, Chennai, and had later moved to Bengaluru to work in a software company.

“The techie had a skin problem on his scalp due to which his hair was falling. He had tried many medicines, but nothing prevented his hair fall,” police told The Times of India. Mithun’s father died a long ago while his mother lived in Madurai.

Days before his suicide, Mithun, had been depressed over his hair problem and had often mentioned his concerns to his mother, Vasanthi. He had taken leave a day before he committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan.

His mother had gone to a temple when Mithun took the drastic step. When she returned she saw her son hanging from the fan in their house and he was taken to hospital where he was declared dead.

The Jaihindpuram police registered a case based on complaint filed by the deceased’s mother, reports Times of India. (KhaleejTimes)
