WIKKI Tourists consolidated their leadership of the Nigeria league after they beat El Kanemi Warriors in a north eastern derby on Wednesday. The Bauchi club now have 37 points from 20 matches.

Their match winner was former Flying Eagles striker Abubakar Lawal, who fired home in the 57th minute off a curling cross.

The Bauchi – based outfit will today attempt to consolidate on their good runs so far as they con­front hard fighting Heartland.

Heartland played a 2-2 draw with Warri Wolves on Wednesday and would definitely want to halt Wikki’s fine run.
