A chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Obi Ochije said after successfully laying good foundation for a better Anambra State, Governor Willie Obiano deserves a second term in office.

In a statement, the chairman and founder of the Obi Ochije Foundation (OOF) said Anambra is different today because of Obiano’s well defined vision, his decisive bold moves to take the state to the next level in areas of agriculture, infrastructure and security.

“When Obiano become governor, he ensured that insecurity became a thing of the past. His crime fighting effort ensured that Anambra began to yield immense benefits, thereby opening up the state to the world and making it attractive.

“With the mandate of attracting investments and fast tracking the process of investment in the state, the Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA) became handy. This has attracted investments in agriculture, trade and commerce, manufacturing, hospitality, housing, electricity generation, waste management, health and oil and gas to billions of dollars to the state,” he said.

Ochije said the state’s Choose-your-project initiative is first of its kind in Nigeria, stressing that Obiano has continued to dazzle Ndi Anambra with new approaches to governance that bring leadership remarkably close to the people.

He said Obiano will emerge victorious in the November 18 governorship election because he has the support of all Anambra people who have witnessed both his sterling leadership qualities and excellent performance in the last three years. “Everybody wants to associate with Anambra because of the governor’s excellent performance. They have continued to wonder how he has been able to perform so well in a short period. Obiano has put smiles on the faces of the Anambra people, and the people have decided to re-elect him a second time,” he said.

He lauded the state lawmakers for speedy passage of the 2017 appropriation bill, saying this type of synergy between them and the executive is what democracy needs.
