Young Nigerian businessman, Osborn Nweze Umahi, known simply as Osborn Nweze, has revealed the reason behind his foray into the hospitality business.
In October 2022, Osborn Nweze unveiled Osborn La Palm Resorts and Hotels —the first five-star hotel in Nigeria, based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The edifice exudes exquisiteness, comfort, class and elegance. It boasts of the modern state-of-the-art facility for maximum comfort for and leaves guests with unforgettable experience.
Osborn Nweze is one of the young minds in Africans taking giants strides. The 24-year-old entrepreneur demonstrates unique vision, so impactful that it birthed one of a kind hotel in not only Nigeria, but Africa.
The Osborn La Palm Resorts and Hotels is determined to transform the hospitality business on the continent, and the impact has been instant among the elites, business class and politicians whose first experience at the facility continues to call them for more.
Tutored by his father, the former governor of Ebonyi State and current Minister of Works, in engineering and management, Osborn Nweze himself is an expert in his own craft. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Surreal University in the United Kingdom, and in 2022, he obtained a master’s degree in Finance and Investment Management from Aberdeen University.
Osborn Nweze is vastly exposed and well-traveled, which informs what fueled his drive to venture into hotel business. He started the construction of Osborn La Palm Resorts and Hotels in 2011, in his teen years, but focus kept him on track till the project was completed and inaugurated in 2022.
Providing an insight into why he embraced the hospitality business, he suggested that it is a venture God wanted him to create a change.
