Vice President of Suriname, Ronnie Brunswijk has reiterated the commitment to deepen the exploitation of the economic and cultural ties between Nigeria, Africa and his country.

According to Ronnie the South American country share common values and traditions which will be harnessed for the benefit of both countries.

Harping on economic cooperation Brunswijk who spoke through Ambassador Fidelia Graand-Galon in South Africa on Friday presented the untapped potentials of the South American country.

Graand-Galon will serve as non-resident ambassador of the Republic of Suriname for both South Africa and Kenya said;

“Suriname is taking further steps in the development of relations with the African continent and improving existing collaborations, particularly Nigeria and South Africa”.

“This process is taking place partly due to the efforts of VicePresident (VP) Ronnie Brunswijk. We are keen on promoting international cooperation and also hope for a fruitful cooperation beneficial to both countries. We determined to strengthen ties between our country and the African continent.

Galon while speaking to President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa highlited the mineral deposits in their country which she said was yet to be fully exploited.

She also stressed that Suriname citizens of African Heritage were also existent in their country saying that their country has a lot in common to benefit from.
