Super Eagles Manager, Gernot Rohr, has said that his wards will avoid defeat in Yaounde on Monday when the Lions lockhorns again with the Super Eagles in the second leg of the 2018 World Cup.

No doubt, Cameroon will attempt to seek redemption when they face Nigeria at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaounde tomorrow evening.

The teams met in a Group B clash on Friday night and Nigeria powered to 4-0 victory on home soil in Uyo, thanks to goals from Odion Ighalo, John Obi Mikel, Victor Moses and Kelechi Iheanacho.

As a result of the comprehensive victory, the Super Eagles are on verge of qualifying for Russia 2018: a win in Yaounde, combined with a win or draw for Algeria against Zambia in the other Group B match on Tuesday, and Nigeria will be able to book their flights to Russia.

“We need 11 points to qualify and now we have nine,” he explained.

“We must avoid defeat in Cameroon and fight for the remaining point in the remaining two matches against Algeria and Zambia.”

Rohr added, “We had a good mix of experience and youth, which was key to our victory. It is not finished yet, that is why we remain very humble.”

Meanwhile, Odion Ighalo has told Nigerians to go to sleep with their two eyes closed stating that he will be fit to face the Lions on Monday.

Ighalo was reported to have suffered minor hamstring, raising doubt over his ability to play in the Yaounde debacle.

‘’I was feeling tight on my hamstring, that’s why I didn’t want to force it. We were winning 3-0 then.’’ Odion Ighalo stated..

‘’I am okay and will be ready for our next game against Cameroon.’’

Ighalo showed his strength and composure to wriggle free of a Cameroonian defender before opening the scoring for the Super Eagles in the 29th minute.
