Imo youths under the aegis of the Global Association of Concerned Imo Youths (GACIY) has descended on the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) over its recent utterance claiming that Governor Hope Uzodimma had perfected plans to entice voters ahead of the February 25 presidential election.

However, reacting to the claim, President of GACIY, ollins Ughala, in a statement berated the PDP saying that the party wasted opportunities granted to it to make impact in the state in the last sixteen years.

He said PDP only raised the their alarm ahead of their possible defeat by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming election.

Hughala said: “This is another lamentation from the minority People’s Democratic Party over the forthcoming general elections. The party on Friday, February 3, accused Governor Hope Uzodimma and the All Progressives Congress (APC) of plotting to rig the elections through a massive vote buying scheme.

“This is not the first time the PDP would be levelling false allegations against Governor Hope Uzodimma, but this latest allegation removes any shred of doubt that the PDP is heading for a crushing defeat at the polls.”
