Minister of Works, Chief David Umahi, has assured of the Federal Government’s speedy intervention on various failed roads across the country, saying that President Bola Tinubu’s scope on that was holistic.

Umahi said that the President was determined to bring lasting solutions to the accumulated developmental challenges in Nigeria and would stop at nothing until that target was realised.

The Works Minister spoke when the Governor of Gombe State, Yahaya Inuwa, visited him in his office in Abuja to seek the government’s intervention on Gombe roads and the North East in general.

Chief Press Secretary to the Minister of Works, Orji Uchenna Orji, in a statement, quoted Umahi as assuring his visitor that the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu was on course and that it’s bringing solutions to the country’s infrastructural challenges.

“The new policies on road construction and rehabilitation are robust and enduring. The scope of intervention by Mr President is holistic, and palliatives are underway to cater for the critical parts of our road infrastructure that need emergency attention,” Umahi said.

Orji, a lawyer, said that the minister congratulated the governor for his passion to make a great difference in his state and also for his “successful re-election” as governor of Gombe State and for emerging as the Chairman of Northern Governors’ Forum.
