•As Dortmund suffers terror attack

ANOTHER poor outing! That was what star studded but vulnerable Barcelona had last night in the UEFA Champions League losing 3-0 to Juventus in the first quarter final match of the money spinning competition.
Barca it is recalled had in the round of 16 lost by 4-0 away to PSG but managed to go through after the miracle of Camp Nou. The Catalan giants in the return leg secured a 6-1 victory to go through on 6-5 aggregate. Against Juve last night,
Barcelona just like in Paris put every foot wrong with Suarez throwing away the few begging chances that came their way.
Juventus backed by a full house of their fans went into the lead in the 7th minute courtesy of Paolo Dybala’s effort. Dybala struck again in the 22nd minute to the admiration of their cheering fans.
Barcelona returned in the second half with Messi, Neymar and Suarez not get- ting things right upfront. Giorgio Chiellini made it three for Juve in the 55th minute. Despite dominating possession, Barcelona failed to find the net as final score line stood at 3-0.
Will the Luiz Enrique tutored side conjure another home magic when Juventus come calling in Camp Nou? This is the million naira question begging for an an- swer ahead of the return leg.
It would be noted that Barcelona had before the trip to Italy lost to lowly rated Malaga in the La liga a defeat that clearly rules them out of the league race.
With yesterday’s defeat, Barcelona’s season may well have ended.
Meanwhile, three ex- plosions hit the Borus- sia Dortmund team bus ahead of their Champions League quarter-final with Monaco.
The chief executive of a Dortmund, Hans-Joachim Watzke, said police informed him that the explo- sives that went off near the team bus were hidden by the exit of a hotel and detonated as the bus passed.
The explosions happened as Borussia Dortmund was leaving the L’Arrivee Hotel and Spa, about six miles or a 12-minute drive from the stadium, Signal Iduna Park, for a match against Monaco.
Defender Marc Bartra was injured in the explosion and was taken to hospital. The match was cancelled following the explosion and has been rescheduled for today.
