Some die-hard proponents of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kassim Shettima have said critics and opponents of the present administration would be be disappointed by the giant stride coming soon.
Director General of Conference of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima National Support Groups (CONBAT-NSG), Comrade Eniola Ehinafe, told journalists yesterday in Abuja, that the new government would improve the nation’s economy beyond expectations.
Ehinade claimed that Tinubu and Shettima are politicians and technocrats capable of moving the country out of the woods.
“For the first time in the history of political architecture in Nigeria, Senators becomes the president and vice president.
“For the first time in Nigeria, a politician and technocrats became the president and vice president.
“Since we believe in the capacity of this government, we have no option than to synergize with the government and to showcase and complement the effort in order to bring dividends of democracy to Nigeria’s.
“For those who voted against him (Tinubu), they don’t know because their own economic boom, unfortunately, is tied, even to this government.
“The most critics of Tinubu will be surprised the way their economic growth and resources they long expected will come speedily and perhaps they will regret that, oh, if I had known, I would have voted for this man.
“So if you look at the President and the Vice President, you will discover that they are technocrats.
“They are politicians. That means they are combining two capacity together to make a government and I believe that this government is going to be encompassing and inclusive one that believe in knowledge-based economy, whereby the younger generation or the middle class will be able to increase their productive capacity.
“In fact, we should also be expecting growth in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Nigeria, he said.”
Also, Chief Executive Officer of AS Wonders Homes and Properties, and President, Tinubu Shettima Movement (TSM), Dr Agbi Omobamidele Stephen, said Tinubu will champion construction of affordable houses for Nigerians.
Stephen, while aligning with the position that the president’s critic will be disappointed, assured that Tinubu will ensure mass housing in the country to ameliorate the housing deficit.
He said: “For the past weeks, we’ve been having series of events. We as groups have spent so much and thank God for the successful election we saw our our own preferred candidates wining. It calls for celebration.
“After today, we’re still going to have three days of celebration and immediately, we will kick start work.
“Like I said earlier, housing will now be affordable to Nigerians. This is certain. You do not need millions in your account to become a property owner.
“There will be mortgage to allow low-income earners own houses and they will pay back in some years.”
