The Federal Character Commissioner Representing Anambra in Federal Character Commission, Rev Uche Ukadike, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his successful swearing-in as the 16th President of Nigeria.
Addressing reporters, Rev Ukadike said though the journey was hard and rigorous that good intentions of Mr President for Nigerians kept him moving.
He described President Tinubu as a pure embodiment of hope, hard work and perseverance, adding that his success and swearing-in did not come as a surprise.
“I want to also specially congratulate the vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Kashim Shettima and the leadership as well as members of our great party, APC on a successful transition from APC to APC government.
“Your Excellency, I humbly and respectfully implore you to strictly adhere to the principles of federal character, where every region, zone and State will be treated fairly and equitably.
“President Tinubu has long proven to be a man who adheres strictly to the principles of federal character. As Governor of Lagos State, you appointed Igbo, Hausa and other ethnic nationalities into the cabinet of your government and every tribe was represented at different levels of government in Lagos State under your watch. You’re detribalised.
“Your Excellence, I hope and believe with you, security, job creation, education, healthcare and infrastructural development will be guaranteed and made priorities in the years ahead, ” he said.
Rev Ukadike prayed that God strengthens the President as he piloted the affairs of the nation to greater heights.
