At yesterday’s The Sun Newspapers Awards night, various awardees who spoke straight from the heart, individually expressed what the honour meant to them, with a good number of them suggesting that the gesture would spur them to do more for humanity.

The Chairman of J-Jumac Industries Ltd, Chief James Uzuh, winner of the Industrialist of the Year Award, expressed his appreciation to the Sun Publishing Ltd for discovering him. According to him, his company has been doing great, and dedicated the award to his wife, and workers. Also, the Chief Executive Officer of Diamond Leeds Ltd, Chief Kenneth Ifekudu, the winner of the Sun Businessman of the Year, expressed appreciation for the award and dedicated it to his wife, his team and friends.

The awardee for The Sun Investor of the Year, who is the Chairman of Pinnatech Group, Dr. Christopher Ndubuisi, expressed gratitude for the honour and dedicated it to his wife, five children and his team. He prayed for the Sun Publishing Ltd to continue to soar. Similarly, the Group Managing Director and President, Property World Africa Network (PWAM), Dr. Jayne Onwunere, receiver of Investor of the Year, thanked her husband for giving her wings to fly. According to her, PWAN has revolutionised real estate in the country and invested in people; she appreciated the Sun Publishing Ltd for the honour done to her.

The Director General of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Charles Odii, who received the Public Service Awards, said the honour would propel him to do more in equipping the young people with skills.
