When the story of the evolution of the Nigerian property industry is told, Dr. Jayne Onwumere, Group Managing Director and President, Property World Africa Network (PWAN), would certainly merit a prominent mention.
Jayne Onwumere and her husband, Dr. Augustine Onwumere, designed easier strategies to help people acquire homes regardless of the scalding economy. This vision birthed a real estate network marketing company in March 2012, with the pioneer company known as PWAN Homes.
Onwumere has revolutionalised the building industry by helping home seekers in Nigeria, Africa and beyond realise their lifelong dream with considerable ease. Simple, focused, restless and enigmatic, she has undertaken audacious projects and succeeded where many crashed.
The real estate guru leads a team of several Managing Directors with 1,100 direct staff spread across 45 affiliate companies that make up the PWAN Group and over 350, 000 independent real estate consultants.
From that first fruit came many companies that make up the group. They are; PWAN Edge, PWAN Plus, PWAN Premium, PWAN Heritage, PWAN Haven, PWAN Prime, PWAN Castle, PWAN Elite, PWAN Max, PWAN Legend, PWAN Champion, PWAN Stars, PWAN Lekki, PWAN Royale, PWAN Assurance, and PWAN Precious, among others
Also in the Group is PHPAC, the company charged with the responsibility of raising and equipping Independent Real Estate Professionals, otherwise known as PWAN Business Owners (PBOs).
In the last 11 years, PHPAC has trained thousands of people in Real Estate Network Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Management, Leadership etc. Today, many are inspired to venture into the construction sector, riding on her model.
Apart from real estate development, Dr. Onwumere is passionate about helping the less privileged and empowering women and young people.
In the past few years, she has single-handedly empowered hundreds of women to start up small business ventures or to improve existing ones through her Empowerment for all Women Programme and Dr. Jayne Onwumere Foundation.
Dr. Onwumere is an alumnus of Lagos Business School and also attended the Owner President Management Programme at Harvard University, USA.
