Giving back to the community by providing jobs is bliss. Flying private jets and cruising on flashy autos is nice too. But nothing beats social responsibility. If there is one mission, Nigerian tech visionary, Dr. Leo Stan Ekeh takes to heart, it is to empower future generations. Ekeh has a very quiet style of interventions. As a silent philanthropist, the gangling tycoon was always interested in content and not brick and mortar. To activate his mission, the founder and Chairman of Zinox Group floated the Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation (LSEF) —a futuristic non-governmental organisation which focuses on promotion of 21st century knowledge through quality education, practical entrepreneurship, healthy living and enhanced lifestyle.

On Thursday, 4 April, Ekeh, as part of his mission, simultaneously unveiled two state-of-the-art tech centres he built and donated to Imo State University, Owerri and St. Augustine University, Epe, Lagos State respectively. At a grand ceremony held at the respective institutions and graced by respective Vice Chancellors, DVCs, Senate and Council Members and esteemed academics of the respective institutions, Ekeh expressed his profound belief in the power of education to transform lives and drive socio-economic development. The billionaire emphasised the importance of equipping students with relevant skills and competencies to thrive in today’s fast-paced world. The centres, he said, embody his deep commitment to nurturing the talents of young people and empowering them to become the architects of a brighter future for Nigeria and Africa.

The most interesting part of commissioning the two centres same time was the use of quality Artificial Intelligence remotely powered from Zinox Group Headquarters (Yudala Heights) on Victoria Island, Lagos where Ekeh sat to monitor happenings at the two campuses and delivered his short speeches where he also gave assurance of turning the centres into complete AI-powered facilities in the next two years.
