Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tacha, has made her first appearance in a movie titled, Tiger’s Tail, which hit cinemas nationwide on July 22.
Tacha stars alongside other acts like Alex Ekubo, Zubby Michael, Etinosa Idemudia, Kelechi Udegbe, Bofie Itombra, Eniola Badmus, Anita Joseph Olagunju, Melvin Oduah, Nosa Rex, Stephen Damian, Efe Henry, Iremide Fantasticks Adeoye, and Adeoluwa Akintoba, who all dazzled on the red carpet during the movie premiere at Filmhouse Cinema, Lekki, Lagos.
According to the producer, Victor Okpala, “The choice of the cast is borne out of the desire to bring the characters to life. You sit down and think, and based on antecedents, you can identify the talent that can best embody the character. So, you call in for readings of closed door auditions and make your pick.”
On what inspired the movie, Okpala said he has always hated the idea of kids roaming the streets without proper education, to be recruited by hoodlums to act as foot soldiers. “So, we decided to tell a part of that story using our strongest voice, which is a film, to highlight the dangers of street kids in a most entertaining and enjoyable way. We embellished it with love, romance, comedy, and a lot of actions. The audience should expect to be entertained and educated.”
