The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, and the Oluwo of Iwoland in Osun State, Oba Abdurosheed Akanbi, have advised Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), to team up with President Bola Tinubu to move Nigeria forward.

The former Osun Governor, Oyetola in a statement by his spokesperson, Ismail Omipidan, said the judgment of the Supreme Court had finally settled the legal battle over the 2023 presidential election, saying lovers of democracy must commend the resilience of the judiciary in deepening the country’s democracy through its sound judgments.

He said the judgment has put to an end the needless bickering, distractions, and litigation that greeted the 2023 presidential election, saying “I hope that the opposition will team up with our president to move Nigeria forward in the overall interest of the country,” Oyetola said.

“Now that the litigation is over, it’s time for full work. No more court. Our politicians are strongly enjoined to prioritize the interest of Nigeria by cooperating with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in moving the country forward,” the monarch said.
