The Special Adviser to the President on Health, Salma Anas, Special Adviser, office of the Vice President, Health, Uju Anwukah, Director of Wellness, Nigerian Mental Health, Halima Mason, Executive Director of The Sunshine Series, Aisha Bubah among other critical stakeholders gathered at the “Transforming Together Summit” in Abuja over the weekend to chart a course at addressing pressing challenges surrounding maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) in Nigeria.

The event organized by Eden Venture Group has spearheaded a call for collective action to create awareness and provide a platform for open dialogue, enlightening discussions, and efforts aimed at implementing actionable solutions to enhance MNCH across the nation.

The Founder and CEO of Eden Venture Group, Fifehan Osikanlu, while stressing the alarming rate of maternal and infant mortality in Nigeria emphasized the importance stating, “A collective commitment to action is crucial in transforming the landscape of maternal and child healthcare. We are gathered here to not only confront the challenges but also to design a future where every mother and child receives the care they are entitled to. The goal is to facilitate policy enforcement, and implement sustainable solutions to improve MNCH outcomes.”

Through engaging panel discussions and interactive sessions, participants and guests identified the issues and barriers surrounding women particularly in areas of childbirth and discussed innovative approaches, and charted a course towards sustainable solutions paving the way for a brighter future for mothers and newborns in Nigeria.

With a better understanding and more information about the challenges faced by mothers and children in Nigeria, the participants of the Transforming Together Summit are better equipped with actionable insights to address these critical challenges.
