Staff members of Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc shone brighter at the just concluded Rainoil Lawn Tennis Tournament held at the Lagos Country Club in Ikeja, Lagos recently.
Three staff of the underwriter made it to the semi-finals while two of them played in the finals which saw them moved to the prime ladder of the lawn Tennis Section of the Lagos Country Club.
The Head of Investment for Sovereign Trust, Shola Adeyeye, played in the Semi-finals while Ade-poju Aderounmu, Head of Banking Operations for the company beat Sayo Adekunjo, Head of Credit Control in the finals to clinch the coveted trophy in the men’s category of the tournament which lasted a week with the final match being played on March 16, 2024.
Still in the winning spirit, Akorede Johnson who is currently observing his mandatory one-year Youth Service, has emerged the winner of the annual Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) Nite of Talents and has subsequently become the Ambassador of the Insurance Industry for the year 2024/2025.
Amidst pomp and pageantry, the 2024 edition of the annual CIIN event held in Lagos recently, had contestants from leading insurance companies in the country, however, the young graduate of Insurance from Lagos State Polytechnic, stood out.
