The veteran of many banking wars unabashedly loves to display his softer side. The last time was about five years ago when his gorgeous wife, Uche, clocked 50. At his wife’s glamorous golden birthday party, Nnamdi rolled out the drums and dug deep into his sizable pockets to throw a splendid shindig. He showed everyone how much his better half meant to him. Thus, it’s unsurprising when on Easter Sunday, the society became abuzz about another of Nnamdi’s classy parties. This time around, it was for his first daughter, Odera Obianuju who got married to her heartthrob, Hillary Chisom Nwankwo, the son of Mazi Sunny & Dr. (Mrs.) Gift Nwankwo. The holy solemnisation of the wedding took place at Our Saviour Anglican Church, Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos and it was officiated by a group of clerics led by Venerable Folorunsho Olaoluwa Agbelusi.

After the religious aspect was done with, Nnamdi, the current Group Managing Director of First Bank Holdings Plc, alongside his wife, Uche hosted the cream of Nigeria social establishment who thronged the Landmark Events Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos for the avant-garde wedding party. The party venue bustled with hundreds of quality guests including Nnamdi’s fellow bank chiefs, billionaire moguls, captains of industry, top politicians, entertainers and several well-wishers. They all came out in their finery to join in the celebration of the beautiful daughter of the former Fidelity Bank’s helmsman. The ceremony was an all-English affair as the hosts and most of the guests were decked out in formal attire.
