The Showtime League Commissioner, Adebare Adejumo is optimistic about an interesting Championship playoff as the Showtime Community Cup enters the crucial stage on Sunday.

According to Adejumo, all the teams that played in the Community Cup gave it their all and with four teams remaining, the fans are going to be in for a great playoff.

“From the start till now, it has been a great outing,” he said.

“If you look at the four teams that made the playoff, they have been performing well since the start of the Community Cup and I am happy that some other teams, who think that they are untouchable, the outcome will show them that they are going to be in for a big battle when the regular season begins.

“The essence of the Community Cup is another angle to expose the game more and I can tell you, more people are now taking up Flag Football, so we are progressing.”

Titans Athletics, who defeated Lagos Athletic Flag Football in the Elimination round will face off against Warriors Flag Football, for a place in the Community Bowl while Lagos Rebels will be up against Outlaws Athletics.

The Championship playoffs will be over two legs with the first leg taking place this Sunday, May 5 with the second leg a week later as the winner battle out in the Community Bowl.

The playoff will take place at Meadow Hall, Lekki, with the first match starting by 12.30 pm and the second game by 2.30 pm on each day.
