The media was awash yesterday of a sex scandal rocking World Heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, alleged to be having affair with fellow boxer, Amir Khan’s wife leading to a divorce.

But, the new world heavyweight champ has denied the charge in an exchange that lit up social media.

According to mirror.co.uk, the Bolton boxer (Khan), announced on Twitter that he and his wife, Faryal Makhdoom, had separated – and that she had “moved on” to Watford-born Joshua.

The first tweet reads: “So, me and the wife, Faryal have agreed to split. I’m currently in Dubai. Wish her all the best.”

It is not clear if the tweets are genuinely by Khan, as Joshua suggests the account may have been hacked.

Khan’s tweets say his wife, “moved on quick”, and “moved up the weight classes” and that he is making it public, before adding, “Mans (sic) like Joshua can have my leftovers”.

A series of tweets then appeared on Faryal’s account. “Accusing other boxers just because your boxing career is finished. Man up amir. https://t.co/ERAxgMo0i5” one said.

He then added: “Bantz aside, I hope you guys can resolve your situation, or this is a hack, as we have never even met! Plus I like my women BBW.”
