The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, has congratulated the presidential candidate of the party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, over their victory in last Saturday’s presidential election in the country.
Bwacha described Tinubu’s victory as a triumph of the people’s will and said that Nigerians should be ready for a new era of greatness and human-sensitive governance.
He said that the people of Taraba State are fortunate to have Tinubu as President as there is a lot of potential in the state waiting to be explored and assured the people that the new administration will not leave any stone unturned in ensuring that massive development comes to the state.
“Let me sincerely congratulate our President-elect and his vice for their victory at the just concluded presidential election. I equally congratulate all those who won various other positions. This is good for our democracy and shows that we are making progress as a nation.
“This is one of the most tensely contested elections. For anyone to emerge, it goes without saying that he knows he can not afford to fail Nigerians.
“Back home in Taraba, now more than ever the people need to know that we can not afford to be in the opposition. I, therefore, urge the people to come out massively and vote for me as their governor and all our candidates for the various State Assembly seats so that Taraba will be in tune with the national government.
“You are aware that we are confronted with insecurity and other challenges. The Mambila Hydropower plant project is still not actualized after several decades and so much monies. It is time for us to align with the national government and bring massive development home. Vote for me. Vote the APC and together, we shall make Taraba and, indeed Nigeria, great again,” he said.
