…as Emir Aminu returns to Kano

The reinstatement Emir of Kano, Mohammed Sanusi 11, Saturday perfumed his first official function as the 16th Emir of Kano.
At about 11.30 am, the monarch rode on the back of a horse out of his main palace to his Fada ( palace office) to conduct a brief meeting with some traditional holders and district heads.
The occasion was heralded by heavy gun shots and jubilation by some members of the palace, who accompanied him to the premises of the Fada.
It could be recalled that the reinstated monarch had received his letter reinstatement on Friday. conducted the Friday Junat prayers at the Government House and reclaimed the palace at about 1.15 am on Saturday.
The reinstated monarch was accompanied to the palace by the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabiru Yusuf, his Deputy, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo and top Government functionaries in the state.
In the meantime, Emir Aminu Ado Bayero has returned to the state following the court order directing the parties in the dispute to maintain status quo ante.
Justice Liman of the Federal Court had ordered the parties to stay action on the matter pending the hearing of a case of fundamental rights brought before it by a traditional title holder Aminu, Baba Dan Agundi.
Aminu , who equally arrived Kano city in the night is currently lodged at a palace annex situated on State Road in Nassarawa area of the state. His lodge is surrounded by thousands of admirers and well wishers. End
