I KNOW I don’t do enough of this, letting my readers have their say. But as they say, better late than never. My inbox was spilling over and I felt there is no better time than now.
So, guys, it’s your turn. Here are some of the feed backs from past pieces on this forum.
When a woman buys a husband
The piece titled above is incisive as it is revealing.
But what you do not seem to understand is that these up – scale ladies pay so much money to keep and maintain handsome guys. My friend’s girlfriend once squealed that she spends a fortune on him because she wouldn’t want to “lose such a handsome guy to any idiot of a woman” on every outing, her poise is “enhanced by the superlative looks of the boy”.
From other experiences, it’s safe to conclude that about 70% of women within the age bracket of 25 – 35years look out for vanity rather than the timeless virtues of a prospective husband. And when the bubbles burst, they cry foul.

Nowhere else to go
“… it’s like a woman dumping her marriage for anything short of life threatening reasons”
Funky, I am addicted to your column and most times I agree with your judgement, but seems to disagree with you on the above statement.
This woman’s life is in grave danger. Her offspring are being slaughtered everyday without provocation.
Her source of livelihood swept away overnight, she goes home thinking of how to survive with her children, her husband’s kinsmen storm her home, slaughter as many of her children as they can find and her beloved hubby who wants the marriage to continue keeps mum. And you are advising this woman against running away with her children?
Confederation is the answer.

Service chiefs and swallowed money
With all these revelations made about how service chiefs swallowed all the money for arms to fight Boko Haram, are we still justified to keep those young soldiers who refused to go to war bare-handed in jail? Those who cornered the money quickly threw the young soldiers into jail.
Perhaps to cover their tracks. What an irony.

Hmmm, and Badeh said armed forces was under-funded.
Madam, always on point! I wonder whether you watched on TV the pulling out parade of Badeh as CDS? In his speech that day, he lamented that armed forces was under-funded and under-equipped. What a Joke!

Ethnic tension
Are we equally blind about Fulani herdsmen attack? If you deceive gullible Nigerians about Boko Haram being defeated, and they consequently relax, get taken unawares by by Boko Haram or herdsmen, then you must accept responsibility for the death of the innocent. In 2015, we were talking about Boko Haram only, but now, we are talking about Boko Haram, deadly herdsmen, Avengers, IPOB.
Most of them results of ethnic tension that is rising to high heavens.

Funke, you write well, though sometimes with lewd language. Bonjour.

Giving us hope
Good day. I am one of the regular readers of your column. You always make me believe there is a bright future for Nigerians with your well-researched analysis.
How I wish many journalists will have the same developmental spirit as yours. Journalists are a major part of our problems because of their selfish interest over national interest.
May Allah (S.A.W) continue to bless you for giving your readers hope of a prosperous future Nigeria. Amen.

All we have is hope
Your Excellency ma,
I just finished reading your back page column on Sunday Sun. You nailed it. The hard truth. An adage says “Where there is life, there is hope”.
Even though there isn’t plenty on the land right now, at least we have life to hold unto as we pray and hope for a better tomorrow under PMB’s leadership.
Thank you for making my day.
I am a fantastically avid reader of your column. God will take you higher. Amen.

God will always guide Tambuwal
You have said the obvious about Mutawalle Aminu Tambuwal. No matter the odds, God will always guide him to excel where others have woefully failed, because he always believed that the interest of the people should always be paramount.

Mr President, your cake is gone
“Mr President, rise and cut your anniversary cake”. Unfortunately, the cake is gone, stolen by the forces of Fulani herdsmen, Niger Delta Avengers and IPOB.
Nigeria’s manhood is still dangling in the open, daily assaulted by kidnappers.
Ask your colleague, Donu Kogbara of Vanguard, her own experience. No sensible General opens more than a front at the same time. So, for security, it is far from being true.

Well done for your small girl’s Letter to Mr. President.
-Sunny from Enugu
Small girl, your letter to President Buhari has said it all. I pray that the President will read your letter himself.

Funke, you are ‘three’ much.

Our founding fathers were shortsighted
You really made strong points and I wish that every Nigerian would uphold your concept. Truth, they say is bitter but must be told.
Our founding fathers were short-sighted, selfish and lacked the vision to anticipate what is now the bone of contention.

What happened to Febuhari?
Thanks for your patriotic letter to Mr. President.
I don’t think there is anything Buhari can do now to redeem or salvage his image or his party.
We voted the man to lessen our pains, he came to inflict more pains to the poor masses.
We voted for Buhari as a person, not APC.
Since one year, there is no respite in all facets of our lives. Where is Femi Adesina that wrote Febuhari article?
He has been given appointment, he has closed his mouth while those he deceived with the Febuhari slogan are going to bed without food. Buhari is becoming the worst President Nigeria ever had.

Chibokgirls.com
With conspiracy theory, they brought down the sitting duck in 2015. Today, by the political correctness theory they rule us, now they use ‘the pull the wool across their eyes’ hypothesis to make us believe their Chibok fiction. Today, Chibok girl No. 1 is found in Sambisa forest; tomorrow Chibok No. 2 is found in Lake Chad swimming with her husband.
Third day, Chibok girl No.3 is seen via a U.S. drone with herdsmen in Sambisa valley. Another group of Chibok girls found, that is Chibok girls, Group No. 4 found in Sambisa mountain. Nigerians are keeping vigil as all Chibok girls are found with or without Chibok babies (aka) Chibokgirls.com.babies.org.Wayoo.

Sambisa sacred forest
Funke, bonjour. I have been looking for your number. Sambisa forest is manned by Idriss Derby . It’s a sacred forest.
If you know about waterloo, you will understand that only air bombardment can work there and human shields make it difficult.

Makes sense
Your write-ups always make sense. Today’s is on point too. God bless you.
-Dr (Mrs) Ngozi Uchegbu.
‘I have always loved your write-ups but today, I beg to disagree. The amalgamation of Nigeria is a marriage of co-wives under one man. A polygamy, so to say.
To have a peaceful home, we must sit down and talk. Every woman would have her time and week to be with the head of the home, when to enjoy her spouse.
It is not for one woman to be seen as the favourite, and the others to bemoan their fate. We must agree to disagree to agree to remain as one.’
