Before the appointment of Alhaji  Hamman Adama Jabbari, as the chairman of the Adamawa State Board of Internal Revenue by Governor Mohammed Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, the internally Generated Revenue(IGR) of the state was at its lowest ebb.

This was a source of worry to members of the state House of Assembly, who saw it as a drawback to delivering democracy dividends to the people. This led to the process of getting a new chairman of the board in order to enhance the revenue of the state through advertising for the position.

Alhaji Jabbari was one of those, who applied for the job and was successful because of his pedigree as the Director of Collection under the board.

He is deeply embedded in his job in revenue collection accruing to the government through the board.

The Bindow administration has been quite impressed with his track record of service since his appointment.

He has  been doing a lot in putting the board on the right foot towards increasing ways to generate and meet the target set for the board by the government.

One of the ways is blocking of leakages in the system. This has greatly helped in the revenue generation. Staff welfare was given priority, especially those in charge of collecting revenue, such as the various taxes, motor vehicle registration and also plate number registrations.
