From Lateef Dada, Osogbo

A group, Youth Voice Movement/EndSARS, has declared its support for the appointment of CSP Adekunle Omoyele, as the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to the Osun State Governor-Elect, Ademola Adeleke.

Some Civil Society Organizations have kicked against the appointment of Omoyele as the CSO to Adeleke, alleging that he has allegations handed on his neck by the people and the EndSARS panel.

But, Adebisi Emmanuel, who led the rally in Osogbo, warned those kicking against the appointment of Omoyele, saying they are ‘paid protesters.’

They carried placards with different inscriptions such as “Say No To Paid Protesters,” “Osun Youths Agenda Must Stand,” “Say No To Thuggery,” “Youth Voice Movement/EndSARS: Say No To Pay CSO,”

“We are here to speak against paid protesters who stayed under our umbrella to threaten the newly elected governor.

“They are hiding behind the umbrella of Osun youths. We learned some days ago that they want to come out and protest against the wish of the IGP for detailing CSP Omoyele as the new Chief Security Officer of the Governor-elect in Osun State. What they based their threat on is a fallacy.

“We are telling them not to attach EndSARS with whatever they are doing because we are not with them. They are state sympathizers. They should not include us in their political agenda and their paid protests.

“Whatever they have with the CSP Omoyele they can sort it out. They know this police officer has been curbing crimes since they posted him to this state,” Emmanuel stated.

He commended the Inspector General of Police on the arrest of the notorious suspected cultist, Rasidi Oko-Ilu and charged the security operatives to also arrest the Chairman of the Osogbo branch of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Kazeem Oyewale (Asiri Eniba).

“The video that went viral indicted Asiri Eniba. Oko-Ilu was saying publicly that he kills faster than cancer, that he loves to kill, that he derives joy in killing people. And he was telling people that he works with Asiri Eniba. We want the arm of the law to be long enough to catch all those who are terrorising the state,” he pleaded.
