…Event’ll ignite innovation in Niger Delta – Organizer

Rivers State capital, Port Harcourt is set to host Tech Expo 2024, to ignite technological innovation in the Niger Delta region.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tech Nexus Limited, Belema George, made the disclosure in a statement in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Wednesday.
He said the exposition, which is scheduled to take place from April 24 to April 26, 2024, at the Horlikins Event Place, would be the most significant technical event in the South-South region of Nigeria.
According to him, the expo would be a catalyst for innovation and technological advancement in the region.
George disclosed that the event organized by Tech Nexus Limited in collaboration with the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), aims to energize the tech ecosystem in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and the entire Niger Delta.
He stated the event will attract distinguished speakers from various corners of the tech world, who will share their insights and expertise with attendees.
He said: “With the NDDC as the main sponsor, the event underscores the commitment to fostering technological growth and development in the region.
“Among the notable speakers are Dr. Maurice Dawson from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, USA, Dr. Tombari Sibe of Digital Footprints Ltd, Gbolabo Awelewa of Cybervent Ltd., Dr. Jimson Olufuye of the Africa ICT Alliance (AfICTA), Ross Alabo George of Proxy Logics Ltd., Eddy Datubo of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
“Additionally, representatives from tech giants like Microsoft will also be present, adding their voices to the conversation on innovation and digital transformation.
