Over the years, the world at large and Nigeria precisely have actually been   experiencing   politics   and   election   under   the   umbrella   of different political parties and as such several   leaders   served and are gone and some still in service till date.

However   it   will   come   to   our   mind,   that   propaganda   as   we individuals and Nigerians will always posit “is a general and daily words we are familiar with, and sounds like the National Anthem used by every office.

A vow is more deadly than a promise, it actually entails a solemn promise,   pledge,   or   personal   commitment,   then   how   come   if   we seem to have suddenly forgotten the fact that even at the edge of these vows our Maker is all Ears and SEEING US.

The   question   is   how   true   is   it   that   Nigerians   have   suddenly forgotten the promises made by the past PDP administration? The promises made to crush Boko Haram, salvaging the country, vows not to disappoint youths on the issue of unemployment. The vow to free the kidnapped Chibok Girls which was aired by B.B.C News and other stations do we say they are all speculations?

Can we also recall the transformation agenda, of how effective it was? Are we going to conclude that they were all methods employed to gain support for the then incumbent and vote the PDP.

Sometimes, I have a rethink on the wise sayings that “HE WHO PAYS THE PIPER DICTATE THE TUNE” reverse is now the case.

As many will say, “Nigerians are now politically wiser and ready to   judge   performance   by   evaluating   the   level   of   fulfilment   of promises during the campaigns.”

The   present   administration   actually   made enormous vows reminding us of the Chibok Girls whose identities still remain unknown,   and   also   the   drastic   steps   to   take   in   combating   the activities of the dreaded Boko Haram insurgents. The promise and vow   to   revamp   the   agricultural   sector   in   order   to   diversify   the economy due to the fact that Nigerians now depend solemnly on oil, the   promises   to   reduce   the   rate   of   unemployment   facing   the country.

Furthermore, the president vow to adopt team work approach for all these to come to reality. Note also that it’s no longer news that most of the corrupt leaders in the past administration who happens to still be in service before   now   are   all   out,   which   means   they   know   the   king   of   the jungle   is   back. To   mention   but   a   few,  former   Petroleum   Minister, Diezani Madueke, Service Chiefs, issue of Dasuki and so on. Something magnificent really excited me during the President’s inaugural speech “I BELONG TO EVERYONE I BELONG TO NO ONE.” However, so many public office holders vowed to cut their earnings,   thus   is   a   good   idea   but   we hope   this   is   not   a   device for exploitation? We should also have it in mind that as one climbs a ladder, he is of different height, so take heed less you fall.

Thus it is envisaged that crying days are over for Nigerians on hopes of fulfiiling election vows by people in government.
