The Plateau State Command has arrested 35 suspected armed robbers, murderers and kidnappers. It rescued six victims in Toro Local Government and recovered 7.62x 39mm including seven rounds of ammunition.

Commissioner of Police Mr Emmanuel Adesina, charged officers to tackle banditry and terrorism: “I have sent a strong signal to bandits to start relocating from the state.  We are going to go after them. I visited the troubled areas to assess the situation.

“I have deployed operational assets and tactical teams to communities in Mangus and Bokkos LGs. The police operatives with vigilance group in Buga forest engaged kidnappers in a gun duel. They rescued six victims and arrested four suspects.

“The Police A Division on patrol arrested a suspect and recovered locally made pistol and live cartridge, which the suspect confessed to have purchased with N25,000.

“The Area Command, Metro C Division and N/Gwong Division in collaboration with other security agencies raided several black spots within the metropolis. Thay and arrested 25 suspects and recovered Indian hemp and toy pistol. The command involved other security agencies, which helped to foster peace in those areas.
