Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party PDP has been declared winner of last Saturday’s Presidential election in Taraba State.
The returning officer Professor Mohammed Abdulaziz of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi said that Atiku polled a total of One Hundred and Eighty Nine Thousand, Seventeen (189,017) votes to clinch the state.
According to the result released, the candidate of the Labour Party Mr Peter Obi polled a total of One Hundred and Forty Six Thousand Three Hundred and Fifteen (146,315) votes to come second.
Abdulaziz disclosed that Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress got a total of a Hundred and Thirty Five Thousand, One Hundred and Sixty Five (135,165) votes from a total valid votes of Four Hundred and Ninety Nine Thousand, Three Hundred and Fifty Eight (499,358), with 18,460 rejected votes.
