Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP), on Tuesday, screened the Bayelsa State governor, Douye Diri; the party’s national secretary, Samuel Anyanwu and former deputy speaker, House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha for its gubernatorial primary in Bayelsa and Imo States.

Governor Diri is the sole candidate for the PDP governorship ticket in Bayelsa State, while Anyanwu and Ihedioha are jostling for the opposition party’s gubernatorial ticket in Imo State.

The Bayelsa governor, while speaking with journalists after the screening at the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, expressed confidence that he will re-elected at the November 11 governorship poll.

He noted that the outcome of the February 25 presidential and National Assembly polls, as well as the March 18 state election election, it is obvious that the PDP is the dominant party in Bayelsa State.
