Following the expulsion of former coordinator for the state, Rotimi Olumo, Oyo chapter of Oodua People’s Congress (OPC), at the weekend, appointed Rauf Olatunji Abiola and Tirimisiyu Olowoposi, as coordinator and deputy coordinator.

The new appointments, which had been ratified by the highest decision-making organ of the National Executive Council (NEC) and National Coordinating Council (NCC) of the organisation, were to ensure unprecedented progress and  entrenched basic organisational discipline among OPC members in the state.

Abiola has traversed the education sector as a lecturer with over two  decades of teaching experiences while Olowoposi has been a committed member of the organisation that had also paid his dues as a loyal member.

According to a statement by the Publicity Secretary, Yinka Oguntimehin, the appointment of the duo takes immediate effect.

The national publicity scribe added that the new appointments will usher in unprecedented progress in the state.

Expressing his appreciation to the NEC under the leadership of the Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba land, Gani Adams, Abiola described his appointment as another call to service, saying the position of a coordinator of a state like Oyo is an opportunity for him to serve the state and Yoruba land in general.
