Renowned estate agent, Alhaji Mutairu Owoeye has hailed the deployment of AIG Mohammed Ali Ari, as AIG Zone 2 Command, Onikan, Lagos, describing him as a dedicated officer, whose understanding of the nation’s security architecture is legendary.
In a congratulatory statement, Owoeye expressed happiness that the huge sacrifice, hard work, tenacity, intelligence and contribution of AIG Ali, in bursting crime in his previous assignments were recognised and rewarded by the police high command.
Owoeye, said Ali’s appointment came at the right time when the zone was in need of an experienced officer to tackle insecurity in the country. He described Ali as a professional officer who can be trusted with the country’s security at any time of the day. He further said Ali’s impressive credentials and experience make him the right man for the zone, adding that he would serve as a motivation for youth who seek role models in service of the country.
“I am confident that our new AIG will bring his long years of experience in the security sector to bear in this new assignment. He will help facilitate and enhance the security architecture in both Lagos and Ogun states, and curb the incessant security challenges bedevilling the zone,” he added.
He described AIG Ali as a first grade professional police officer, adding that his deployment was not a surprise to most Nigerians.
“Most Nigerians have been expecting this good news to validate the full proof of his sterling qualities and exemplary leadership acumen that stand him out as an impeccable officer of high professional standing and humble disposition. When he was the commissioner of police, Delta State, he promoted a cordial relationship between the Nigeria Police Force and the various communities in the state. AIG Ali fits as a model to other police officers who seek to excel in their career.”
Owoeye who said no country could progress without internal security added that with the emergence of an honest and hardworking officer like Ali, Zone 2 Command headquarters will be the most peaceful in the country. He wished the AIG the best in his new office and as he steps into the next phase of his career.
