The anger over demolition of the Ekeonunwa major market in Owerri is almost snowballing into major crisis in the city.
Our reports indicate that as the angry traders were outwitted by the government and armed team of demolition operatives, some affected traders who could not bear the loss they have incurred in rage, mobilized and headed to the private home of Governor Rochas Okorocha.
Their target was to burn it down in retaliation for the downing of their shops, but they were stoutly resisted and repelled by the intervention of armed security men.
