Over 500 residents of Asaba, Delta State capital at weekend received free health care services provided by the Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) medical outreach in conjunction with the Delta State All Progressive Congress (APC) campaign organization.

Services rendered include internal medical consultation, general consultation, treatment of common ailments and ophthalmic consultation (distribution of medical glasses).

Others are free laboratory tests on hepatitis B&C, blood sugar test, haemoglobin test, urinalysis, HIV, prostrate cancer screening and malaria test.

Director of Medicals of Delta APC campaign organization, Dr. Ayodele Cole who spoke on behalf of the care givers,
said the objective was to bring healthcare services closer to the people, irrespective of political affiliation.

Dr. Cole said free medical services would continue after the upcoming elections in which Tinubu is contesting as the presidential candidate of the APC.

“This exercise will continue even after the election so that people can have access to health. Take the good news back home. This is operation bring healthcare to Nigerians.

“It is a one day exercise, from 8:am to 6:pm and its being done across the country. Today is the turn of Delta State, next will be in Owerri, Imo State,” he hinted.

Dr. Cole added the exercise was part of the goodwill of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the APC governorship candidate in the state and Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege in making healthcare available to the people.
