President Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday morning, left Abuja for Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, to declare open the annual Chief of Army Staff Conference.

This was even as Vice President Yemi Osinbajo  presided over the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the State House Villa, Abuja.

While in Madiguri, President Buhari will also meet with the Nigerian troop serving in the North east geopolitical zone.

The FEC meeting commenced with the National Anthem following the arrival of Osinbajo at 11:03am.

The opening prayers were said by Minister of Trade and Investment, Ike Enelamah and his Water Resources counterpart, Suleiman Adamu.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha and 18 ministers.

Ministers in attendance were Rotimi Amaechi, Adamu Adamu, AbdulRahaman Dambazau, Audu Ogbe, Adebayo Shittu, Mohammed Musa Bello, Zainab Ahmed, Udoma Udoma, Usani Usani, among others.
